Oslandia

Vincent Picavet is an applied mathematics engineer and the founder of Oslandia, a company he created in 2009 to provide services and expertise in open-source geographical information systems. Oslandia is a major contributor to QGIS and PostGIS, and Vincent serves as a QGIS.org voting member, actively involved in the project's evolution and community governance.

Under his leadership, Oslandia has built a strong reputation in the FOSS4G ecosystem, contributing to projects including SFCGAL (a 3D geometry library used in PostGIS and GDAL), Giro3D (a web-based 3D geospatial visualization framework), and QDuckDB, a QGIS plugin for geospatial OLAP analysis. Before founding Oslandia, Vincent worked on satellite imagery and spatial data infrastructures.
