Daniel Izquierdo Cortazar is the co-founder and CEO of Bitergia, a company that provides software development analytics for open source and InnerSource ecosystems. He holds a PhD in free software engineering from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, where his research focused on analyzing developer activity patterns in the Mozilla community. At Bitergia, he leads the development of GrimoireLab, an open source analytics platform for measuring software development and community health.
Daniel is the President of the InnerSource Commons Foundation and a board member of the CHAOSS (Community Health Analytics for Open Source Software) project under the Linux Foundation. He is an active advocate for data-driven approaches to understanding and improving open source communities, and a regular speaker at open source conferences worldwide.
